Isaac Mao曾经写过一篇《2.0网站如何赴死》，忠告创业者，创业的时候要善待用户，创业失败了同样要善待用户。让用户取回他们的数据，或者提供将数据转移到其他网站的方案，不但是创业失败应该做的，即使没失败，由于业务调整关闭一个服务，也同样需要这么做。
Web 2.0公司所拥有的网站数据，大多并非网站的自有资产，而是来自用户的贡献。我曾经用过网易的个人主页服务、免费邮箱服务、网站统计服务，网易还健在，但这些服务都不知去向，我曾经的喜怒哀乐，曾经的心血和热情，也都随之不知所终。这留给你的感受是，对于这些网站来说，用户是微不足道的，当他们不再需要你，你所留下的所有数据，连垃圾都不如。
UUZone突然关闭又突然开放，没有跟它的用户打过任何招呼，谁还敢相信这样一家公司？所以，趁它能访问，用户最好赶紧备份自己需要备份的数据，然后远走高飞。不管UUZone是否打算继续经营，它已经不值得信赖。
有时候我觉得，成熟的1.0公司，要比稚嫩的2.0公司更关心自身的品牌形象，更懂得该伺候好自己的用户。刚才，我收到了Yahoo! Photos团队的邮件，正式通知我Yahoo! Photos将在太平洋时间今年9月20日下午9点关闭。当然，在此之前我已经利用Yahoo!提供的转移方案，把Yahoo! Photos的照片转移到了Flickr。不管过去Yahoo! Photos的经营如何不思进取，作为用户，我没什么可抱怨的。雅虎不但提供了向Flickr转移的方案，还提供了向竞争对手的服务转移的方案，因为用户可能并不适合Flickr，此外，你还可以打包下载或订购CD。
所有的互联网公司都属于服务行业，顾客是上帝是通则，并不因免费顾客就成了孙子。但大多数中国用户，已经当惯了孙子。

For some time now, we've supported two great photo sharing services: Yahoo! Photos and Flickr. But even good things come to an end, and we've decided to close Yahoo! We will officially close Yahoo! Photos on Thursday, September 20, 2007, at 9 p.m. PDT. Photos only). All you need to do is tell us what to do with your photos before we close, after which any photos remaining on Yahoo! Photos will be deleted and no longer accessible.
Of course, we hope you'll join us at Flickr (you can even use your Yahoo! ID), but we also realize that Flickr may not be for everyone. In the end, we want you to find the service that's right for you, and we hope you take some time to learn more about your options before making this important decision.
